Holy WOW, Batman!

So while I was off and busy trying to get my head around the latest in breast cancer research, ONE OF YOU generously, graciously honored me with a wegohelath “Best in Show” Blog award nomination.

WOW!

I am so very honored. This blog started with my belief that our stories matter, and that we gain and give strength when we share them. Cancer is a lonely enough path…no one should ever feel they are the “only one” as they make the many decisions related to treatment, and all the more so as treatment ends and the “new normal” descends.

The most I could hope for is that some of you have found benefit and even community on these pages. I know for many, that community has jumped right off the page and into our lives in deep and profound ways.

I am so grateful for this nomination. Unfortunately WordPress is fighting me and I’m unable to post the badge that would allow you to endorse me (Hey, the new laptop works AND stays on the internet. I can’t really ask for much more given my history, can I?) But as you know, I’m tenacious…check back soon!

I got around that WordPress/code problem this way:
    1. Created an image inviting people
    2. Linked that image to the page source where people can nominate you.
    Works like a charm!

Congrats! I nominated someone else I know (virtually) in the rare disease circle. It’s an exciting thing!

Congratulations, the honor is well-deserved. My cancer was not breast cancer, but I learn a great deal from following your blog.

Congrats! I think the best part of these nominations is knowing other people have thought of you. You’re having an impact, Lori!
